New York Society for Ethical Culture Felix Adler Scholarship

Felix Adler, the founder of the Ethical Culture Movement, established an endowment specifically for the training of Ethical Culture Leaders.  Since the 1980's Ethical Culture Societies across the US have relied upon The Humanist Institute to train our Leaders.  The New York Society for Ethical Culture, which administers the Adler Endowment, is now making funds available up to $9,500 per class for Ethical Culture members to attend The Humanist Institute's 3 year training program.

Godless Billboard Goes up in STL

(St. Louis, Missouri, September 14, 2010) "Don't believe in God? You are not alone."

These words are part of a prominent billboard now up in St. Louis on I-64 and U.S. 40 at Vandeventer Avenue, near St. Louis University. Positioned on the left side of the road and visible to westbound traffic, it will be seen by drivers coming from the eastern suburbs or returning from the Taste of St. Louis on October 1. The 14' x 48' billboard features the words superimposed over an image of a blue sky and fluffy white clouds. It has been placed by the Greater St. Louis Coalition of Reason (St. Louis CoR) with $5,850 in funding from the United Coalition of Reason (United CoR).
